Doyle Brunson
Doyle Brunson is probably the greatest poker player in the world. If you want the best poker book available its Doyle's "Super System," If you want to play in the biggest ring game, its Doyle's Las Vegas game, If you want to know the record winner of the most(shared with Chan and Hellmuth) WSOP events won, its Doyle. Doyle always wanted a career as a professional athlete but suffered a career ending knee injury while in college where he begin playing poker for money. After some initial success he was soon playing full time with the likes of Amarillo Slim and Sailor Roberts. He became good friends with Benny Binion and his contributions during the early days of the WSOP is the reason it continues today.
