Editor's Review Below:

General Experience Playing Here: 2.5

It was an okay experience. With the combination of a happy pit boss, a monotone dealer, a dark room, and a slow cocktail waitress, Binion's isn't a place we'd play at normally next time. We did talk some with fellow players but not much.

There were alot of spectators hanging around though to watch us play.

Room Condition: 3.5

The room was dark and worn looking. We expected that from such an old establishment as Binions. It was actually quite empty the day we went there and there were only about 4 tables running. The tables looked worn too.

Competition Rating: 3.0

Competition was pretty average. Both local and new player's were sitting with us.

Aggressiveness Rating: 3.5

The player's were not that aggressive. If there was any prefop raising it was about $15 and during the time we sat in session, no one ever reraised.

Player Mix: 4.0

It seemed to be a good mix of player's between the locals there and those who were currently staying at the imperial.

Dealer Rating: 3.5

The dealer's here were just okay. We had to wait awhile for a nother $1/2 NL table to open up. They only had one going that day around 5pm so we sat at an empty poker table with one of the Dealer's. We give them effort for the idea that if a few of us sat with the Dealer, people would pass by and want to start a new table.

During the time we sat with the Dealer, we can't say he was the most friendly guy. He talked quite matter of fact about not being told much of anything that was going on at the Casino. Basically he didn't seem receptive to light social chatter and seemed to just want to be a robot dealer.

Cocktail Service: 2.0

The cocktail waitress was an ancient old gal with wrinkly paperbag skin that was heavily made up with foundation. It took us over an hour to finally get the drinks we ordered.

Apparently they had the cocktail waitresses schedules not overlapping, it seemed there was only one cocktail waitress serving the whole casino. She had to make her rounds and eventually came back to the poker room. We had just missed the previous cocktail waitress coming around and the next one wasn't coming around for another half hour.

Management Rating: 3.5

We were greeted by a very loud pit boss who was also quite jovial. In fact, we probably would not have stayed as long waiting for a spot at a table had the pit boss not been so friendly and tried to be accomodating.
