General Experience Playing Here: 3
The Stratosphere poker room is not too bad, although it is hard to consistently get a live game. There are tournaments at several times during the day that often disrupt/break live games. If you are going to go play there, time your arrival for about an hour or so after the start of a tournament if you are looking for a live game.
Competition Rating: 4.5
Aggressiveness Rating: 3
Player Mix: 4
Not many good players at the Stratosphere, a lot of passive aggressive play. You are able to buy pots fairly easily in the no-limit game. The problem is there is not always a no-limit game available.
Room Condition: 3.5
The Stratosphere just moved and upgraded their room. It is fairly nice with comfortable chairs. Not enough TVs for my viewing pleasure. It is an improvement over where it used to be.
Dealer Rating: 3
Nothing outstandingly good or bad about the dealers that I encountered.
Cocktail Service: 3.5
The cocktail service was fast, probably due to the fact that the poker room is right next to one of the bars. The cocktail waitresses were friendly and decent looking.
Management Rating: 3.5
Pretty good management, very friendly and helpful.
Comps: 3.5
They have a comp system in place but it isn’t electronic yet, so you can get a meal comp pretty easily just by asking.
