2006 Brands Survey puts Las Vegas as #2
January 7, 2007 In a survey* conducted by Landor Associates and Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates for the year 2006, the number two spot for top brands was Las Vegas in areas such as "mass appeal," "consistent and loyal consumers." Google wins the spot for #1 and Las Vegas comes in #2 in both 2006 and the previous year, 2005. This is great news for the Vegas poker scene because the ever growing draw of successfully marketed Las Vegas Casinos & Entertainment pulls a large pool of tourists. And of course some of these tourists will contribute to a continual fresh supply of new players in the poker rooms. Vegas will never become an old stale entertainment center. It continues to thrive and get bigger and better. With its bigness, it provides a target place for beginning poker players to play in. It is a place where poker players who may either have no access or limited access to casinos in their city can aim to make their next trip. "..this survey is an important indicator of consumer activity and its correlation to social behaviour," says Allen Adamson, Managing Director of Landor Associates' New York office and author of BrandSimple: How the Best Brands Keep it Simple and Succeed. "Companies that can provide a clear and consistent brand to consumers, as well as harmonize with social changes will find themselves in a promising position, as illustrated by top-ranking brands such as Google, Las Vegas, Target and iPod." The survey covers important trends in consumer activity and focuses on finding those businesses' which are solid in their creativity, corporate identity, consumer packaging, and marketing of their product which time and time again will show their success by the attention and continual return of the mass consumer. *2006 ImagePower(R) Newsmaker Brands Survey By Ali Sande Co-Editor PokerReviewsVegas
